I Didn’t Lose Myself. I Just Forgot How Powerful I Was.

ENVYQueen Spotlight: Kristy
Wife, mom, outdoors-loving badass, and living proof that confidence isn’t about changing who you are. This is Kristy’s boudoir story, in her own words.

I’m a wife, a mom, and a fiercely independent, outdoors-loving woman. Give me a hiking trail, a dusty off-road adventure, or a Jeep ride with the windows down and I’m in my element.

Booking a boudoir session didn’t start as a confidence move. It started as a gift. A 40th birthday surprise for my husband, a 15-year anniversary celebration, and yes… a Black Friday deal I couldn’t pass up.

But behind that was a quieter truth. I hadn’t been feeling great in my own skin. My health slipped, my confidence followed, and the idea of stepping in front of a camera felt terrifying, especially as a curvier woman who already struggled with how she saw herself.

Walking In Scared, Walking Out Changed

I was nervous. Really nervous.
But the moment I walked into the studio, something shifted. The space felt warm and welcoming, and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I had to hide parts of myself.

I brought me into the shoot. My off-roading lifestyle. My Jeep vibes. The strong, capable woman who’s usually covered in dust, not glam.

And then there was that outfit. The black one I swore I wouldn’t wear.
That ended up being the one that made me feel powerful, confident, and completely in my element.

“There Is NO Way That’s Me”

Seeing my photos stopped me in my tracks.
“There is NO way that’s me.”

But it was.

And in that moment, everything shifted. My confidence didn’t just improve, it skyrocketed. Not just in how I looked, but in how I carried myself and showed up.

This experience wasn’t about becoming someone new. It was about remembering the woman I already was and letting her take up room.

This Is Your Sign

Boudoir isn’t about perfection. It’s about power.
If you’re thinking about booking your first session, do it. Not because you feel ready, but because you deserve to see yourself differently.

You control your comfort level. You get to express who you are. And you will surprise yourself.

Pro tip: stretch, drink the water, trust the process, and keep an open mind.

You won’t regret it. Not even a little.”
